What Utah County Homeowners Say

  • “The new roof looks great, and more importantly it provides our family the peace of mind that we won't continue having shingles blowing off with each windstorm from the previous old roofing and risk further damage to our home.”

    Brooke

  • “We had a couple of concerns while the old roof was being demo'd and Jason came right over to address things in person. The new roof looks great!”

    Rory

  • “They went the extra mile to make sure I had the best product and experience possible. Very genuine people. Very kind and great at what they do. The roofing crew accidentally ruined some plants in our yard and they paid to have them all replaced with nicer plants.”

    Hunter

Common Questions

Roofing Questions, Answered

The questions Utah County homeowners ask us most. If yours isn't here, call — we'd rather answer it now than have you guess.

How much does a new roof cost in Utah County?

Most residential replacements in Utah County land between roughly $8,000 and $20,000, driven by square footage, roof pitch, the material you choose, how many existing shingle layers have to come off, and the condition of the decking underneath. Every estimate we write is itemized so you can see which of those is moving your number.

Do you offer free roof inspections?

Yes. On-site inspections and written estimates are free across our whole service area, with photo documentation of anything we find. There is no charge and no obligation to book work with us afterward.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most homes are torn off and reroofed in one to two days. Steep pitches, multi-layer tear-offs, and homes that need significant decking work take longer. You get a timeline in writing before we schedule the job, not after we start it.

Do you work with insurance on storm damage claims?

Yes. We document hail and wind damage thoroughly, meet your adjuster on the roof, and manage the claim through to final payment. What we will not do is absorb or waive your deductible — that is illegal in Utah, and any contractor offering it is putting you at risk along with themselves.

What areas do you serve?

We work throughout Utah County — Provo, Orem, Spanish Fork, Springville, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lehi, Payson and the surrounding cities — and across the south end of Salt Lake County including Draper, Riverton, and Bluffdale. If you are not sure whether we reach you, call and ask.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Phoenix Exteriors is licensed in the state of Utah (license 14291571-5501) and carries both general liability and workers' compensation coverage. We pull permits where the work requires them, and we are glad to provide proof of insurance before you sign anything.

How long should a roof last in Utah?

An architectural asphalt roof installed correctly generally gives 20 to 30 years here, though high-elevation UV, heavy snow loads, and hail all shorten that. Standing-seam metal lasts considerably longer. Ventilation quality matters as much as the shingle itself — an under-ventilated attic will age any roof early.

Ready for a Free Roof Inspection?

We'll assess your roof, document any damage, and give you an honest recommendation — no sales pressure, no obligation.
